The wings and props of our airplanes have metal dowels, with plastic inserts in the bodies. This ensures us safety in shipping, and for any movement you may have in the future.
OUR STORY
Tim Nguyen, my partner, was in the South Vietnamese Navy during the Vietnam war. At the very end of the war, as Saigon was falling, The North Vietnamese lined tanks along the Saigon River to destroy anyone trying to escape. Tim and three others fled down the river in a Navy boat, with a white flag tied to the bow.
Amazingly they were allowed to pass, and continued to follow the river downstream to the ocean. After drifting at sea, and losing one man, Tim and the other crew mwmbers were picked up by a U.S. ship and brought to the United States.
Tim worked at several jobs but ended up retiring from Boeing. After his retirement, Tim began designing model airplanes and arranged to have them built by his family in Vietnam. What started with Tim's family has grown to almost a hundred people, all based in Saigon.
Tim still lives in Oklahoma.
